Advances in Remote Video Surveillance

Property security has become a lot more reliable thanks to the incredible advances in remote video surveillance, and ArcEye Property Defense is proud to be a leader in the industry. Progress in communications technology, motion- and heat-sensing technology, and artificial intelligence has produced phenomenal results, which have helped ArcEye Property Defense prevent over 65,000 property crimes worldwide. Advances in Remote Video Surveillance

Communications Technology

It is still hard to believe that we can now speak to people across the globe with practically-real-time video and audio. Communications infrastructure has deepened, quite literally, with over 500,000 miles of undersea cables carrying mind-blowing amounts of data. This means we can communicate with people more reliably and quicker than ever before.

Our virtual guards heavily depend on this technology to communicate with authorized visitors as well as intruders on client properties. When a virtual guard detects unauthorized persons on the property, they will use two-way audio and live video to warn the trespasser. This communications technology also allows us to instantly contact local law enforcement if necessary.

Motion- and Heat-Sensing Technology

If you think about it, the security guard has a simple "program" or "code." If they see something move, then they instantly trigger red flags to investigate. If the moving object is an actual threat, the security guard intervenes – either physically or with real-time audio.

With motion- and heat-sensing technology, security guards have extra sets of eyes. Our technology is also integrated with artificial intelligence to filter out false alarms and avoid "alarm fatigue." This way, security guards can save their mental and physical energy on more valuable actions.

Artificial Intelligence

Video footage is great, and CCTVs are ubiquitous in the business environment. It has gotten to the point that there are not enough eyes to watch the ever-growing number of screens. Security guards can pour over the screens, but the human eye can only do so much. Look away for a moment and they might miss a trespasser’s entrance.

Fortunately, artificial intelligence has developed to a level where it takes a huge weight off of the security guard’s shoulders – or eyes, rather. With sophisticated object detection and classification capabilities, artificial intelligence assists guards in identifying actual threats. ArcEye Property Defense’s proprietary technology even filters out false alarms such as falling leaves, birds and other animals, and authorized persons and vehicles.

"The Cloud"

"The cloud" is just a fancy phrase for remote storage, but the technology as well as the possibilities truly seem mystical. Thanks to "the cloud," you can view live and recorded video and audio footage anywhere you can get internet connection. If a virtual guard is interacting with a questionable individual, you can chime in through your smartphone to authorize, or deny, the individual’s entry.

Take Advantage of Proactive Video Monitoring

Modern technology is amazing, and ArcEye Property Defense is thrilled to be integrating this technology into property security. Call us today to learn more about how you can take advantage of the progress!
